Default New jobless claims hit 4 year low

I guess it's for real as Rush and Hannity are falling silent as more and more positive economic news hits. Car sales, retail sales, consumer confidence.

The Silicon Valley is on the verge of another late 90s boom.

AT&T Park owners in SF just announced a 1000 home/1.7 million square foot developement kitty corner from AT&T Park.

One Rincon Hill in SF - 60 story residential tower - is getting an expedited go-ahead on it's twin. It had been delayed for a year or more because of the economy but now they are rushing to break ground.

Good news for everyone and especially the unemployed cause things are looking up.

Sure sign that things are really getting better - right wing talk show hosts are suddenly not commenting at all on the economy.

Yeah, paying higher taxes is helping those companies create jobs. Logic be damned.

NOT WORKING

With the labor force sitting on the sideline, there is really nothing to cheer about these numbers other than it looks good as headlines. I think many would take GWB "hamburger flippers" if available. When you go back through all administrations and add in the "not working" I am willing to bet we are now in the "worse economic situation since the great depression." Only by ignoring the fact of how many quit looking can one point with glee to a lower a number.

Also a record number 88 million out of the labor force, but the economy is rocking. You go Obama. On vacation of course.

Obama needs a permanent vacation. I will do my part to ensure he gets it.

They can redefine unemployment and inflation and everything else to make themselves look good. It's disgusting.
