TransCanada Renewing Request to Build Keystone Pipeline
By JOHN M. BRODER
Published: February 27, 2012

WASHINGTON — TransCanada said Monday that it would reapply for a permit to build the Keystone XL pipeline from Canadian oil sands formations in Alberta to refineries on the Gulf of Mexico, assuring that the fiercely contested project will remain a source of political heat throughout the presidential campaign.

I heard a news blurb today that a company (un-named) is drawing up plans to essentially extend the pipeline from Cushing OK to the Gulf Coast which, according to the local newscaster, is pissing off the White House because they can't scramble fast enough (thru the EPA) to circumvent it. .......I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!

I think we're going to see more states "circumventing" the WH. Fair game. If O goes around Congress, then the states can go around O. It's way past time, as well, that the states start giving the finger to the heavy boot of the EPA.

It's funny, Obama insisted on delaying the Keystone Pipeline, yet Yesterday, during his Super Tuesday, take the headlines away from Republicans News Conference, He takes credit for a part of the Keystone Pipeline being built in Oklahoma!

We could save a lot of fuel if everyone who voted know were to go without transportation.

I read that Keystone was going to hurt a buddy of Obamas, Warren Buffet I think it was he has a railway he owns and Keystone would supply oil instead of his railroad.

Makes sense. One of the theories floating around for all the "high-speed rail" projects is the creating of new right-of-way's and roadbeds at the taxpayer expense, which will be sold off to the freight firms on the cheap. Buffet is a major investor in said firms.

My hunch is that it's not gonna happen. Unless, of course, the Keystone Pipeline folks bribed... hrrrmmfff... contributed substantially to the reelection campaign for Obama.

Ignorance on display - here's an idea - do it anyway and let the revolution begin. Then for all of the conspiracy geeks, we might learn if there is a nefarious purpose for the collection of ammunition!

President hates coal but why did these states (coal production rank given) vote to keep this man?
PA (4)
MT (6)
IL (7)
OH (10)
CO (11)
VA (12)
NM (13)
MD (18)
I know many will tell me that the rural, hence the coal workers, didn't support this president and were done in by the big cities. It is hard to feel sorry when it was the votes of these states that kept the president in office instead of a person who has a far better sense economics and the need for energy.
