Just what most of Europe and the American Left has dreamed of for years. The U.S. becoming yet another ho-hum country, not the super power it has been since WWII. European elite know so much better than the rest of us, don't you know?

Now that ideology is becoming reality (thanks to Obama), many are finding it... undesirable. Nature abhors a vacuum; China will gladly step up and be the world's boss if given a chance. And nobody wants that.

China has already stepped up and asserted itself. Most Americans dont realize it because we're here, China is over there, and the American media, including the political blogispheres, not Drudge, not Kos, not Brightbart, not newspapers, not talk radio talk about it at all, with very few exceptions.

How's them Chinese lessons coming?

How wrong they will find themselves ... but by then it will be too late.

Blah blah baloney! The same thing was said of the Japanese during the Carter Administration, but look at them now.

We are the market on which China has based it's economy. Without us having a thriving economy to which they can sell goods, they go back to eating fish heads and rice. This doom and gloom crap is only due to the toxic fumes being emitted from Washington and the constant drum beat of the hateful anti-capitalists.

In November we will shed these beggars rags and, once again, the US will experience a period of growth and expansion. Many lifelong Democrats are going to go vote against Obama and the Democrats. Even the Chinese are hoping this will happen.

You mean during the early years of the Reagan administration dont you? That was when I recall all the talk of the Japanese taking us over, due to their superior autos, consumer products, and all the treasuries they bot.

Around 1985 I read an interesting book, The Future of American Business by Marvin Cetron (long out of print) which delved into the Japanese advantage in the late 70's early 80's, something entirely missed by the popular press at the time, to whit the incredibly favorable exchange rate of 245 yen per dollar. Cetron noted that, plus the shell economy propped up by the Japanese government, plus the inflexibility of the kereitsu (sp?) system.

The US interest rate throughout the 80's was over 10% most of the decade, and upwards of 20% in the early years. That explains all of the so called Japanese advantage, even though the press was taking about Japanese management superiority, Demming's influence on the Japanese manufacturing processes, and lazy uncaring American workers. That explains why Japanese purchases of Treasuries exploded during those times.

Recall too that as late as mid 1984 there were some (including George Will) who were suggesting that Reagan might not be re-elected. After all, at the time of the 1984 election unemployment was at 7.2% ( down from the highs of 10.3% early in Reagan's first term) and did not permanently drop below 7% until November of 1986.

So, when "they" said the Japanese would be taking over and dominate the world economy during those years, that was based on false data, false perception, false assumptions.

China on the other hand......

But I am with you that getting rid of the current president and as many of those who do not embrace the fiscal responsibility of the tea party movement is top priority.

Obama refuses to acknowledge Islamofacist terror. He wants you to believe the War On Terror is over. Tell that to family and friends of those killed in Libya. That's why we have Benghazigate. Conflicts with Obama's contention Al Qaida is on their heels. The Ft. Hood terror attack was always something other than a Radical Islamist attack on Americans.
