Alice's Restaurant eats up a lot of miles. City of New Orleans and Coming in to Los Angelese will give you enough Arlo to last a while.

Can't find my way home, Blind Faith. Be careful with that one, just listen to it, don't do it.

Roll with the Changes and Riding the Storm out REo, their only good songs. Stay away from the ballads.

Any song with a cow bell. Mississippi Queen, Don't fear the Reaper, Honky Tonk Women, Drive my Car...

......GOOD ONE!! Another argument against Public transportation: "The Wheels on the bus go round and round..all through the day" I would put in the utube link but that is one song that you do not want to get stuck in your head.

Bob Hope and Bing Crosby even had a Road Song
Road to Morocco

I think there are far too many posters on this thread who are unclear on the concept.

A "road song" is NOT a song that contains the word "road".

What it IS is a song written as catharsis to 300 dates on a 365 day road tour, missing Mom, home cooked meals, and that gal next door. It is pretty clear when you read the lyrics of One Way Sunday by Mark-Almond or Come Monday by Jimmy Buffet or Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's, as opposed to something like One of These Days by Pink Floyd.

Sorry I couldn't paint a picture, but I couldn't find my crayons

To me, it's anything that causes me to tap the steering wheel with my palms and/or sing along, thereby causing me forget that I'm driving through sagebrush-filled Obamavilles. Hmmmm. Sounds like the makings of a song...

Drivin' passed yet another Obamaville.

Lookin' for someone that might have a job.

Some people claim that's there a rich man to blame.

Yet we know.

It's Obama's fault.

Wow! Great song!

I concede this as a "road" song, albeit not within my own personal strict definition.

Thanks for posting
