Hey, Derick's back, I thought he must have fallen off his latter.

Bush: Derick said that "It Is A War For Oil."

Hey, this visit may only last the holiday weekend.

Hey, stop in when you can. Completely understand the absolute need to get things done. I don't get to spend nearly as much time as I used to on good ol' Goldtalk.

Well now, nice to see that Mr. Brauer is still engaging in his unique brand of "alternate intellect" when it comes to discussion of salient issues.

If in the right context "fallen off his latter" could be one brilliant bit of cerebral wordplay. But as the context is not known, and the author is, I must conclude it is simply a typographical error -- or lack of ability to spell big words.

And once again, I suggest Mr. Brauer read again my brilliant essay (I believe) titled "Yes, it is a war for oil" to get an overview of the importance of petroleum to our economy. After all, he felt it was important enough to archive it on his computer and have it ready to present again, long after I had forgotten the specific essay.

But again, knowing the author of the comment, I can safely assume he went no further than the title and thinks he is engaged in a game of "Gotcha!"

I would submit that he also review my signature line yet again -- though the effort be wasted and the irony so rich.

More than likely the latter.

I will stop in when I can.

I had to come to the understanding that internet forums, while fun and educational, are huge time bandits. I have participated in not only political forums, but those on railroad history and barbershop harmony. Talk about jam-cram information overload.

Sadly, political forums do have a shelf life, often limited. Americans will voice their opinions, offer salient argument, and then the Democrats will merely attempt to derail the progress, using the same old tired, hackneyed talking points and whines. So after I understand their position, anything further becomes moot.

But I am getting off topic, I was supposed to offer another caption to Mr. Brauer's picture of President Bush. So here goes:

"John Kerry had a point. I didn't have a plan. At least I hadn't planned that the Democrats would forsake national security and effectively thwart our efforts to protect the American People. I should have known that they couldn't care less about keeping America safe, but would subvert all for political gain."

True. Likewise, I used to spend an inordinate amount of time putting posts together; plenty of research in bibliographic format. Now, I try to keep it to a few lines, which give nothing more than my general opinion on the issue(s). I don't think opinions are ever changed, it's merely an expression of opinion more than anything else.

You may be able to get a government grant, because you're phonetically challenged, Lesko.

Therein lies another problem.
You could make it real easy on yourself and do like Lefties do. Just make stuff up and spout off whatever you feel, and try to pass it off as fact. Then when called on to back up the assertion, deny, obfuscate, attack and do anything but offer substance to the assertion.
:hammer:

Yep. I could do that, but then I'd have to fall on my sword.

Kinda like one of our contributors calling Carlos Gutierrez a lettuce picker?
