The Prophet’s legacy:

Islam is the only religion that has succeeded in destroying all forms of artistic expression.

The amazing thing is that there are idiots who point to this legacy with great pride and say, “Look at all the great works of art done by Muslims, Islam has produced the greatest works of art in history.”

This is your big chance to see 5000 artistic creations that never existed - and could not have existed - were it not for the creative power of Islam that you deny.

Speaking of a “brain transplant,” isn’t that required for people who praise “Islamic art” and the “artist” as well?

Looking at that stuff, it well explains why Islam suffers from a terminal case of no imagination. It also explains why in an art history course they can cover the entire history of Islamic art in ten minutes or less.

Still waiting for you to show one painting done by a Muslim that has the universal recognition of the Mona Lisa. How about a single sculpture as powerful as David? Or how about a nightmare like Starry Night? Where has Islam produced their equivalent of that black-eyed demon, Picasso?

There are none, you know it as well as I do.

And the truth is that under Islam all of these great works would be destroyed for insulting Allah and Islam.

You're probably right in noting that Islamic art does not have the same kinds of virtuoso legacies. Islamic art went in a different direction, especially as far as the architecture, will often be products of collective team efforts rather than individual effort.

What's missing from your analysis is any attention to artistic values, ideals, and intentions. I think you're comparing apples and oranges. Also, not to be glib, but art is matter of taste. I went to an exhibit recently that featured some of the most renowned painters from over the past 150 years. The only thing that had any oomph for me was van Gogh, whose paintings were heart-rending and overwhelming. I'm personally interested in religious art. You probably know van Gogh was a religionist and was actually a missionary at one time.

By any chance was it the exhibit at the Norton Simon Museum of Art in Pasadena? That is where I saw the Picasso and Van Gogh exhibit… I called it unnerving.

The voice demanding all move back to Sharia, the place of peace, grows.

Wasn't there a van Gogh who was recently murdered by a Muslim?

Rachel can vouch for this. She talked to the murderer herself after the police shootout.

As a forensic psychiatrist, Rachel also determined that the perpetrator's personality disorder had nothing to do with his actions. This was purely 100% a religiously motivated crime, plain and simple.

Looks like Vistor needs to pull his head out, again.

And the rest who were demanding Theo’s death for insulting Allah, were they also mentally challenged?

And the Muslims who cheered his death and shouted Allah Akbar? What were they? Nuts or normal?

What about Ayaan Hirsi Ali? I suppose all of her death threats are coming from the crew of Sesame Street?

And if he was so mentally challenged, why does he sound like a normal Jihadist?

Insult Islam with art and die. Wonder what would happen if some artist made a painting of Mohammed riding into Mecca on a pig?

How about it, Vistor, do you agree that an artist has the right to make such a painting?

Wouldn't it depend on how it's done?

There. Now how about you answer my question - what exactly did Mr. Bouye say and who are "normal Jihadists"?

No conditions, nothing. What would the reaction be?

Read the note he posted on Theo’s chest… it was a manifesto on Islamic art.

Not my fault the normal jihadist is now a terrorist.

We Catholics have our pedophile priest issue, I don’t blame the people who have labeled the Catholic Church as a haven for pedophiles, I blame the priests.

Here's Theo Van Gogh's offensive artwork, the short film Submission, which Ayaan Hirsi Ali did the voice over on:
