BHO got elected because quite frankly he had the better campaign. He didn't run on blaming Bush ( he uses that foil for his failures / troubles in governance). He ran on hope and change and electorate bought it. McCain couldn't separate from "Bush 3" although his VP selection did bring energy. Why - her message was strikingly positive and upbeat and McCain was same-old DC.

God, not Romney, and not Newt, and not I guess Huckabee. Are we really that devoid of true Conservatives! Maybe someone will come up out of the November elections from the Tea Party movement...someone not seen yet. And yes, I could see Chris Christie, if he wants it.

Congress is such a sewer right now. I just don't know how it can be fixed.......it is so far gone. In a way, I am glad I am not 21 years old, faced with the future of this county they are looking at.

You mentioned 21 and the future, I tend to think most have no clue, blissfully ignorant. Reality will eventually wake them up, ya know, when they can't find work, or they are being herded off to a camp by zero's version of the KGB and so on.

Fun part is, a lot of them voted for this and so I say, kick back and enjoy. Playing in traffic at rush hour is not healthy, neither is voting in a illegal alien tyrant.

Quite frankly, it was because the media was running block for him. They trashed Palin because they could find no dirt on her. But when it came to Obama no questions about his birthplace, questionable connections, and lack of experience.

Well there is Fred Thompson, perhaps? I don;t know, he has a little explaining to do, the part I wonder about is how he let the dishonest criminal subversive Senator John Glenn block the investigation of China filling the Clnton campaign with cash! Glenn insisted upon putting a time limit on the investigation, which Thompson agreed to, Bill Clinton refused to furnish documents or infomration, to which Glenn then refused to allow a supoeana. amd the time expired with nothing accomplished. Which worries me, Rush Limbaugh believes that a deal with Clinton involved the passing of US Nuclear weapons secrets, as well as others, in exchange for campaign cash. I don't know the information never came out, like Gore was never charged or even investigated for breaking federal election laws, and perhaps lieing about it. The Chinese scientist at the US Nuclear lab, was falsely imprisoned, Reno had no case against him but violated Habeous Corpus by citing National Security. Reno "negotiated" a "plea deal" which was largely meaningless, since they let him go back to China.

No, I don't want Romney, I don;t want to try to elect another "pretend Conservative" like GW Bush or his father. I think we can do better. I am also not crazy about Newt, he has made too many compromises since his resignation from the House. Palin looks better and better, and even Huckabee would have been better than McCain, not that I was crazy about Huckabee, but would Huckabee have spent some $10-13 Trilion in his first year?

But I'm not surprised about the hostility towards Huckabee, the anti-Christian campaign of the Dims appeals to many here. I attempted to unite so-called Christian or social Conservatives with Fiscal Conservatives and it got me falsely accused of trying to establish a Theocracy. Dims regularly impose their leftist religious values upon everyone and apparantly you are alright with that. Obama's agenda is pure Black Liberation Theology imposed in a manner similar to Sharia law, Glen Beck has shown that, and that's okay. Jimmy Carter and other Dims treat Islamic Fascist countries like friends, imposing a National Pacifism straight from the religious left, and that's Okay. Formally confidential correspondence proving the Roe v. Wade ruling was the SCOTUS unethically and unconstitutionally writing Abortion law imposed federally based upon the whims of a single activist justice, and that's okay. But let Republicans who happen to be Christians even express their POV, and that's intolerable!

I'm with evan316, who knows if there is even going to be a 2012 election. Could be a civil war, what if we run out of oil and can't afford to buy it form George Soros? What if Obama pulls a "Jericho"? How many stolen Russian suitcase nukes are already in the country, smuggled through Mexico? What would stop Iran from nuking Iraq and Afghanistan as well as Israel. and wiping out a large part of the US military there, as well a their hated enemy the Sunni Muslims? Hyperinflation in 2011? Who will care about the election?

Obama could shut down the internet and talk Radio, no one will know what is going on. Either that or he could soon have a horde of backruptcy proof, federally funded Air Americas all over the media.

On the other hand, I agree with you and the fools in charge really worry me. They have way to many ways to make the US wish they weren't in charge.

Romney, Nuht, mccain, cornyn and the entire bush clan need to all take an extended vacation and leave the governing to their betters like Sarah, Christie, Bachman, the black Lt Col running down in Broward County Florida and other solid Conservatives.

I am so happy with mccain that his latest, send money letter, caused me to send it to the wrong person, sent it to JD instead of mccain, seems like money well spent, even better if he wins.

I am getting a tad long of tooth (old) and did not plan on having to deal with all of this bull, had my retirement planned, now zero is eyeballing everyones retirement, likely to fix SS and my military retirement by confiscating them and so on. obama is looking at everyones 401k and savings and he is literally salivating over the prospects of stealling it all.

I guess the US is filled with a lot of real slow learners so we are having more fun then we can imagine and it is just beginning. Wait until 2011, it will be real interesting, hopefully we get a Congress filled with Conservatives who have impeachment in their eyes and they follow through and put him in jail, while we are at it, lets do the klintons for their crimes. Please don't bring up statue of limitations, dims are ignoring the law and doing as the please, lets join them.

On second thought, a complete system break down would not be fun so I guess we should stick to law and order, just get bjklinton and spouse on their current corruption and criminal activities. Then, after this warm up we can get after the other dim criminals in the govt.

I would have taken Romney, or Thompson, or Rudy over McCain or Huckabee. They're still all better than what we have now however.

I don't remember hearing anyone on our side talking about Huckabee from a religious perspective. He pretty much lost our confidence from an issues standpoint.

Going forward, there are a number of candidates whom I think would be much better than what we have, but a lot depends on what Senate and Congress they have to work with as well.

More and more are worried about a "Scorched Earth policy" from the lame duck CONgress, which will "Obamacare", (force through againsst the will of the people) Amnesty, Card Check, Cap & Trade, the Green Energy thing, where smart meters and proprietary electrical outlets are the reqirement, and the power company, under the federal government has control over your electriciy usage, Hey just wait for the two way tv screens and Big Brother to make you execrise and watch your every move. I would also look back to where the Clinotn administration was at this same point. Bill tried to establish a Socialist paradice, he just failed. He did essentially get near a hundred non traditional CHristians killed, because they dared to defy him and rammed through an Assault Weapons Ban, Brady Bill, but failed when he tried to get a bill requiring associations mainly that opposed his policy to fork over membership lists. That's REALLY what killed NRA membership for awhile, NOT fear from being associated with Timothy McVeigh.

And what then? Last year's Homeland Security report already tied all the disadents in with Terrorists and apparantly they actually diverted resources from Homeland Security and the FBI to infiltrate the big talking whackoes in the HUnatree. The Southern Poverty Law Center links the majority of America, essentially every White Person with rampant racism, because we oppose the policies of the Black President.

If you also recall, Bill Clinton purposely shoved nuge numbers of immigrants through the system in order to get their votes. Anyway, expect violence, and it will be blamed on the tea parties, and anyone "White".

Actually, it is way past time, just had to wait for things to get obvious for the slow folks. It is there and those that still don't get it, well, they won't ever get it.

I have found that a lot of people who talk like they are republicans, at least they deny voting for zero, they tend to see bjklinton as a great leader. Balanced the budget ran things well. I point out that he would not have been reelected had the R's not taken the House. They just don't get it, they still don't so, past time, but don't know if things in the long run are going to work long term.

That should be enough to answer the question is the GOP blue bloods even aware of what is happening outside their doors. Sure, a Q poll shows he would win TODAY against BHO, but what we just saw in 2010 does not repeat with Mitt at the top of the ticket. He will not have the tea party behind him and without the turnout potential, he loses in 2012. Let him be a cabinet member of the next truly conservative president but let's stop playing games that suggests it is his turn.

There are a good number of Republicans that would be good for the country. Romney isn't one of them.

FF has a great question. Although I did not vote Reagan (strong into my Libertarian ways!) he obviously had the message to reach the voters. Far too many republicans try to claim his mantle simply by casting out his name whenever they can. I think a candidate who can deliver the conservative message in terms that reaches everyday people is the first step. However, I think Mr. Reagan may have had a more difficult in today's "hostile" environment of the web / media. It is far too easy to put things on the net that becomes the "truth" of the moment. The conservative will get far more scrutiny of what (s)he says than the liberal. But it will still be the message with a nice persona, if you will, that wins over voters.
