Bill, you only wish that were true. The real story is that we won ever major battle or campaign. We did the butt kicking. They lost three maybe more times the numbers that we did. We won and won and won. When Tet was over, according to his autobiography, General Giap was on his way to tell his political superiors that he had failed. They her heard Kronkite say that we had lost. Giap was quite sure that we had beaten him. But the American left was willing to ignore that and declare that we had lost. Giap tells of turning his car around and going back to try harder.

Then when all was over. When his army was defeated and our planes were bombing his country into the dark ages, Giap urged the pols of the north to make peace. They did. They agreed to pull out if we would. They agreed to our stipulating that we would come back if they did. They agreed to our continuing to arm the ARVN. They agreed to every demand we made. This was not the actions of a victorious army. No, it was the actions of a defeated foe.

Then people from the left, people who talk a lot like you do Bill, won big following the fall of Nixon. They were the ones that cut off the flow of military hardware, just like they did later on to the Contras. They were the ones who blocked Ford from responding when the NVA violtated the cease fire agreement. They were the ones who sold out the brave people of South Viet Nam. It was people who talk a lot like you and John Kerry that defiled the honor of this country. And now you want to do it again.

The final outcome of a war tells the VICTOR. We went to Vietnam and pissed away the lives of some Fifty-Two Thousand of Americas Finest to prevent North Vietnam from taking over South Vietnam.

Outcome tells that we lost and the little Dudes in their Pajamas WON.

Let's see if we can foretell the outcome of the war in Iraq. We went their to take the WMDs away from Saddam and to prevent an Islamic Republic from sprouting up in Iraq. How do you think we are doing? Say after me: We LOST the war in IRAQ.

Bill, you talk like a fool. Actually you talk like a fool who is trying to cause the same kind of failure that was effected after we had won. The outcome of our war was that the North packed up their toys and went home. Then people just like you gave it all back to them. This is the truth and if enough of us do not lean that then, the fools like the liberals who gave the fruits of the blood that was shed there, will also dishonor those that have fallen now and give away their blood to this enemey.

There is a difference this time though. It will not be long before this batch of fools will be seeing their children sheding their precious blood when this enemy does something that was never the plan of the Giaps of the world. Once the fools give them Iraq then they will come for us. We are their target of choice. They have to destroy us in order to exact the final victory that they want.

Founding, thanks for serving. I know the feeling. When I heard that the libs had managed to put through a veto proof bill th at cut off material support for the ARVN, I knew that all those guys were wasted. Most of all for me I knew that Specialist Douglas Cecil Ristine had been wasted. That act of stupidity was very personal to me like it was to many others.

Aint, some of it is just logic and the applications of reason. All you have to do is put the pieces together. Because I lived through that time as an adult I call upon my own memeory a lot. But here is how you can put it all together. Look up these subjects. The Tet Offensive, here you need to look at who held the field when it was all over and who took the biggest casualties. Look for how long it tood for the NVA to mount another offensive. Then look up the end of the war. Look at the peace negoiations and what we demanded and what they, the Peoples Republic of North Viet Nam, gave up. The last thing you look up is the legislation that made it a crime to give any aid at all to The Republic of Viet Nam. After that just look up when the NVA invaded the South again and you will have a clear picture of what actually happened. Be careful to sort out the facts from the opinions of the "objective reporters."
