|
|
This goes hand in hand with what music we can play in Fallujah to bring the "insurgents" to their knees. Reuters
Magazine Publishes List Of "Worst Songs Ever"
New Media Producer: Kerry Corum
They may be catchy, and they may have been big hits - but they're also just plain bad.
Blender magazine has come out with its list of the worst songs ever.
Topping the list - "We Built This City," by Starship. Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Breaky Heart" was second, followed by Wang Chung's "Everybody Have Fun Tonight."
"Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit ranks fourth, followed by "Ice Ice Baby."
Rounding out the top ten worst songs ever are Huey Lewis and the News with "The Heart of Rock-and-Roll," "Don't Worry, Be Happy," Eddie Murphy's "Party All the Time," "American Life" and "Ebony and Ivory." _________________ David Gold |

Here's my picks-
Only In America - Jay and the Americans
Danke Shen - Wayne Newton
The Lion Sleeps Tonight - Tokens
Sugar Shack - Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs
People - Streisand
Tell Laura I Love Her - Ray Peterson
In The Year 2525 - Zager and Evans
I'll probably think of more. |

I'm not sure what the criteria is for this list, but it looks like they are rating the worst of the hits or most played songs.
Oh man, how could they treat any Huey Lewis song in the worst 50. _________________ All comments, opinions, sarcasm, and insults are according to King Joe (accurately nicknamed by Gary)...aka KJV |

Excuse my ignorance, but is Blender an adult based magazine? I am trying to click a link for it and my company policy prevents me from looking at it. _________________ All comments, opinions, sarcasm, and insults are according to King Joe (accurately nicknamed by Gary)...aka KJV |

Not that I could tell, but you can buy music from there, and you may be able to listen to clips. Might be considered a bandwidth hog by some admins.
By the way, it looked like you had to subscribe to see the 50 Worst List, but I didn't take the time to find it.
Completely agree about Huey Lewis. _________________ KEEP AND BEAR ARMS - AN INALIENABLE RIGHT

| How about any song since the 90's. I mean are any of the songs mentioned so far as bad as every song by Brittany Spears, "N SYNC, Janet Jackson, Eminem? |

| This list is pointless. There's so many bad songs you couldn't even choose where to begin! |

I don't hear the newer music. I was basing my list on the songs I remember. |

Me neither, WBR. Thats because there is so little good music now.
I suspect when they make the "Greatest hits of the Nineties" there will be a total of two songs on the album. |
